Jankovic's style is a genuine, expressive interpretation of any given composition. More than a guitar player, he is a person with the gift of communicating honest emotions of the human experience.
Since the beginning of his professional music career in 1985, he has delighted audiences at recitals and enlightened students in his master classes throughout Europe and the United States. As a performer at major competitions around the globe, his universally evocative sound has won high regard with the world's classical music community. Over the years Jankovic has received numerous prestigious awards. In 1997 Jankovic was the first guitarist to ever win the Graduate Top Strings Award from the Indianapolis Matinee Musicale. Currently Jankovic is an esteemed faculty member of Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
"Petar Jankovic's performance was inspiring on so many levels. He is wonderfully expressive and technically perfect. His performance was enjoyed by all and reminded our community why we love music in the first place," said Dan Pinkston, Music Department Chairman at Simpson University in Redding, Ca.
Reservations are not needed for this event. The performance is free for Concord University students, staff and faculty members.
