A Noted Author, a local original rock band, brought a local taste to campus last Wednesday, September 16, 2009 in the Subway Sides. The band boasts Concord graduates Bob Campion on guitar and Dylan McInturff on drums along with Mark Guess on bass.

The band performed several original songs, including There You Are and Delaware.  The song Delaware features Campion using a toy laser-gun on his guitar in likeness to Billy Idol’s guitarist Steve Stevens.

The band went on to perform a new original song written by McInturff that, for the time being, is solely acoustics and another original song based off of an Eddie Murphy Saturday Night Live skit, James Brown Hot Tube Party.

“One of us came up with the name thinking of a reference page for a resource paper,” said Campion on the source of the name.

A Noted Author was originally known on campus in the mid-nineties as What’s Left and evolved in later years to its current title.  The band performed last year in the Subway and looks forward to future performances.

“It’s always great to come back here,” said Campion.

“Playin’ over here is always fun…we hope that people always come out and support live music here in Subway,” added McInturff.
