If you have ever considered jumping into a cold body of water for the greater cause, you finally can at the TKE’s 11th Annual Polar Bear Plunge.

The Tau Kappa Epsilon, otherwise known as the TKE’s will hold the 11th annual Polar Bear Plunge on March 21st at 10 am. The plunge will take place at Bluestone Lake and it will involve the TKE’s running towards the lake and jumping into the cold water. The purpose of the polar bear plunge is to raise money for the Ronald Reagan Alzheimer’s Association, which is the fraternity’s national philanthropy due to the fact that Ronald Reagan was a TKE alumnus.

The TKE fraternity invites many others to join the fun as well as be able to support the Ronald Reagan Alzheimer’s Association. The past previous years there have been many participants that have been involved in the plunge to support the good cause. Chris Matheny, Junior and a TKE member states that, “The Polar Bear Plunge is a way for us to benefit our philanthropy, the Ronald Reagan Alzheimer’s Foundation, as well as promotes awareness for Alzheimer’s and jumping in is fun, really fun.” One can donate five dollars if they want to promote awareness, but do not have to jump into a body of cold water.

So if you want to go out, get wet and promote awareness of Alzheimer’s come out and donate five dollars and or jump into Bluestone Lake on the 21st of March.
